Matholoplis and Boy it's mathy and Hey I'm tired
Well, turns out everyone and their dog (ok, maybe just everybody) has actually updated their blogs, so I suppose I'd better do something. Of course, I have a wackload of work to do for tonight, and I just got in half an hour ago from all the school related junk of the day, but hey, what are you going to do.

The job is going great, even though my evaluation was not all that hot. Get this ... I'm a messy person! So, wait, it gets better ... I'm totally disorganized! Shock! :O I guess the benefit this time was it was moreso "these are things you can do to fix it", as opposed to "you're a disorganized person; fix it". I guess we'll have to stay tuned and see what transpires.

Yeah, on a completely unrelated note, I've been getting my ducks in a row to attack this master's thingy. I don't know why I decided to use ducks to do this, but they just seemed to fit the bill. So I thought I'd give them a quack at it. Ok, I'll stop.

Other than that, it's pretty much been girlfriend/job, with a side order of conference. This week and last week in particular were crazy, but things should be returning to normal in the very near future. Juggling prep for three different classes is pretty time consuming. I specifically remember having a conversation months ago with one of my friends and telling them I was busy a lot, and she informed me that there was no idea how I could be busier than she (a student) was, and I was just making stuff up. So, let me reinforce this concept right now: teaching is a time consuming job. Teaching math in particular, while running three extra-curricular activities and going away for math conference on weekends, takes a lot of time. I just have a feeling I'm going to be on the receiving end of some bad poetry soon and thought I'd launch a pre-emptive strike ;)

What else. Christmas is coming soon, and I have only two people left to mentally buy for, so I'm in pretty good shape that way. Oh wait, three. Thanks a lot Jana.

Hmm, this was pretty irrelevant stuff it seems. Well, my uber-weird gf who I miss terribly is gone for another two hours or so, so I think I'll compensate by doing something relevant, like buying some pineapple and making awesome smoothies.

Mmmm, pineapple.

-Mmmm, Tiger

Alright, the duck references in our blog posts is entirely a coincidence. But what a coincidence!

And I still contend that everyone has just as many hours in their day as everyone else and everyone has stuff to do. (And that's a lot of everyones.) So, as Justin Sexy Back would say, "Cry me a river."

Ed's friend Sharon was telling me how she had three papers (6, 7, 10 pages) and an exam due in the next two weeks, and how much work that was gonna be to do.

My reply was something like "I have a 12 page paper to do this weekend, a lab exam on Monday, a thesis presentation that I still have to do some research and a powerpoint presentation on for Wednesday, a sketcy outline for a directed study due on Friday, two exams, and 2 12 page take-home exams. Oh, and a thesis introduction and method. And a bunch of data analysis for my job. All by the 15th."

She didn't have much to complain about after that...

And hell, if I'm not stressing the least bit about all that crap, then it means the prozac is finally kicking in. The funny part is I know at least one other girl who is as busy as I am, so get to cryin' that river, foo!

The best part about friends is the sympathy they provide...

*sticks tongue out at you* You're welcome.

Lol, look at it this way, we probably won't be seeing each other until after Christmas anyway, so you have another month to plan. Unless you're planning to come to Ottawa at some point in time while I'm there.

And I feel ducks can be very useful towards your master's application. Why, I once had a professor who used ducks to explain the philosophical theory of some presocratic philosopher whose name I've totally forgotten.
